Tyrese Samuel is a forward from Canada playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, known for his strength, rebounding, and interior scoring. Standing 6’10” and 235 pounds, Samuel brings energy, toughness, and physicality to the 76ers’ frontcourt rotation.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, in 2000, Samuel developed through the Orangeville Prep program—one of Canada’s top basketball academies—before moving to the United States for college. He played three seasons at Seton Hall University and two more at Florida, where he averaged 13.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game as a senior while shooting efficiently around the rim.
After going undrafted in 2024, Samuel signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, where his combination of defensive versatility and inside finishing has made him a valuable depth piece. His ability to run the floor, battle on the glass, and defend multiple positions makes him an ideal fit for Philadelphia’s physical, defense-first system.
