Yang Hansen is a center from China playing for the Portland Trail Blazers, known for his size, touch, and rebounding instincts. Standing 7’1″ and 240 pounds, Yang brings a strong interior presence, soft hands, and developing offensive polish to the Blazers’ frontcourt.
Born in Qingdao, China, in 2004, Yang developed through the Qingdao Eagles system in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), where he quickly rose to prominence as one of China’s most talented young big men. In the 2023–24 CBA season, he averaged 14.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game, showcasing his combination of size and skill at just 19 years old.
Selected 31st overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, Yang joined the Portland Trail Blazers, becoming one of the highest-drafted Chinese players in recent history. His mix of length, coordination, and inside scoring gives Portland a developing two-way center with long-term potential to anchor the paint on both ends of the court.
